We believe God is one—infinite
in glory, wisdom, holiness, justice, power, and love—but manifests Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Deut. 6:4; Matt. 28:19; Acts 2:33; Eph. 4:4-6).
We believe the Bible is the
inerrant Word of God, the infallible rule of faith and practice (Matt.
24:35; Rom. 15:4; 1 Cor. 10:11; 2 Tim. 3:16).
We believe in the creation
and subsequent fall of man, with the result that he, without God, is in a state of total spiritual depravity. Unregenerate
man, with his sinful nature, needs a Savior (Gen. 1-3; Rom. 3:23; 5:12-19;
6:23; Gal. 5:19-21; Eph. 2:1-3).
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ
to be the only Savior of all men, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, completely God and completely man.
Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. He personally appeared in His new body to His disciples before ascending
to His seat at the right hand of the Father in Heaven (Matt. 1:18-25; 14:6;
Acts 4:12; 1 Tim. 3:16; Heb. 4:14-16; 8:1-6).
We believe the Holy Spirit,
Who is eternal, proceeds forth from both the Father and the Son. His ministry upon the earth is to convict and convert man
as well as being the Great Paraclete—Comforter, Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener and Standby (Gen. 1:2; John 14:16-17; 15:26; Rom. 8:16,26).
We believe in personal salvation
by grace through faith in the finished work of Jesus. To enter the Kingdom of God,
one must be born again. A saved person experiences the peace and knowledge that all of his sins are forgiven and that
he will spend eternity in Heaven (John 3:1-8; 17:4; 19:30; Rom.
5:1-2; Eph. 2:8-9; Rev. 13:8).
We believe salvation should
be followed with water baptism by immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and the circumcision
of the heart. The old man is put to death and the new man arises out of the water (Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38; 6:1-14; Col. 2:11-12).
We believe the baptism in the
Holy Spirit is an experience separate from and following salvation, available to everyone who believes in Jesus. The
initial evidence of this baptism is speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. Through the baptism in
the Holy Spirit, the believer is empowered to tell the world about Jesus in word and deed (Ex. 19:1; Lev. 23:15-22; Mark 16:17; Acts 2:1-4; 19:6).
We believe the fruit of the
Spirit is the divine nature and character of the Lord Jesus Christ made manifest in the Spirit-filled man (Rom. 8:28-29; 2 Cor. 3:18; Gal. 5:22-23; 2 Pet. 1:3-4).
We believe the gifts of the
Holy Spirit are the supernatural ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ, and that every member of the Church should flow in several
of them. They enable us to talk like God, think like God, and do the works of God (Acts 10:38; Rom.
12:4-8; 1 Cor.12:8-10; 14:1-40; 1 Pet. 4:10-11).
We believe God wants everyone
to live in divine health, free of every form of sickness. Healing is for the physical problems of the human body and
happens by the power of God, often through the prayer of faith and laying on of hands. It is provided for in the atonement
of Christ and is the privilege of every member of the Church today (Isa.
53:5; Mark 16:18; John 10:10; Rom. 8:11; Jas. 5:13-16).
We believe satan, our adversary,
was completely defeated by Jesus’ death and resurrection, and we are called to enforce His victory. Through the
authority given to us in by Jesus, we are to cast out demons (Mark
16:17; Heb. 2:14; 1 Pet. 5:8-9; 1 John 3:8).
We believe sanctification is
a finished yet progressive work of grace, starting at the time of salvation and being completed when we go to Heaven. God's
purpose is to recreate His image in us (Matt. 5:48; 1 Cor. 1:30; 2
Cor. 6:11-7:1; Col. 3:8-13; 1 John 2:15-17).
We believe in the full restoration
and redemption of man. Jesus modeled for us what a man can do when he is connected to God—walking in authority
and living as a mature son (Matt. 10:1; 28:18; John 17:7; 17:22; Rom.
8:19-21; Gal. 4:5).
We believe in observing often
the ordinance of the Lord's Supper, the ongoing celebration of the New Covenant (Matt. 26:26-28; Luke 22:17-20; 1 Cor. 10:16-17; 11:23-30).
We believe in prayer directed
and filled by the Holy Spirit and that fasting intensifies prayer (Rom.
4:17; 8:26-27; 2 Cor.11:27; Eph. 6:10-18).
We believe in the biblical
pattern of free worship. This includes the voice and the whole body—with clapping, lifting of hands, waving flags, and
dancing—and the use of a diversity of musical instruments. We believe in both the validity of personal worship
and the power of corporate worship (1 Chron. 13-16; Psa. 150; Acts
15:13-17; Eph. 5:19; Col. 3:16).
We believe the kingdom of God (His rule, lordship, and dominion)
is a present reality and will expand until it covers the earth. God's will is for His kingdom to be manifest and made
a reality on earth as it is in heaven. The Church is the instrument through which that purpose is to be realized (Gen. 1:26-28; Dan. 2:44-45; 7:27; Eph. 3:21; Rev. 11:15).
We believe the Father has given
the earth to the children of men. The earth is the Lord's; it belongs to Jesus and His Church, not the devil. The meek shall
inherit the earth. As kings and priests, we shall reign on the earth (Psa.
24:1; 37:9,34; 110:1-6; 115:16).
We believe although the church
belongs to God and He is the Great Shepherd, he has delegated authority to local church government, including elders, deacons,
and believers (Matt. 28:18-20; Acts 13:1-2; Rom. 13:1-7;
Eph. 1:20-23; 1 Tim. 3:1-13).
We believe the five-fold ministries
that Jesus Christ gave to the Church still exist today: apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. Their mission
is to equip the saints for the work of the ministry (1 Cor. 13:8-13;
Eph. 2:20; 3:1-5; 4:11-16; Col.1:25-29).
We believe the person who physically
dies forgiven of their sins through faith in Jesus will be resurrected to live for all of eternity in Heaven or paradise,
where there will be no more tears or pain (Job 14:14; Psa. 16:10; 17:15;
John 5:24; 11:25; 1 Cor. 15).
We believe the person who physically
dies in his sins without Christ is hopelessly and forever lost to hell or the lake of fire, and therefore has no further opportunity
of hearing the Gospel or for repentance. The lake of fire is literal and eternal (Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 19:20; Revelation 20:15).
We believe in the real physical
return of the victorious and ruling Lord Jesus Christ, coming to once and for all defeat His enemies and to establish His
glorious kingdom. No man knows that day or hour (1 Thess. 4:13-18;
Heb. 10:12-13; Jas. 5:7; Rev. 21:1-11).
We believe there are some things
that the Lord has yet to reveal to His Church. We remain open to be taught, corrected, or adjusted in our vision. So
we declare that in Whom we believe is more important than in what we believe! Our highest priority is to know Jesus (Josh. 3:1-5; Isa. 55:9; 1 Cor. 2:9-16; Phil. 3:8-11).
